River Stone offers both cash and trade credit for gently used books.
Here’s how it works:
As River Stone continues to grow (thank you for that), I’ve learned a lot about what’s sustainable for the shop, and I want to make sure I can keep this little bookstore here for the long run.
Because of that, I’m making a small update to how I purchase books:
Cash Payments:
$2 per hardcover
$1 per paperback
Store Credit (unchanged):
40% of what your book sells for in-store
Store credit will always be the best value, and we love when books stay part of the River Stone story that way.
To keep things manageable in our small space, I’ll also be limiting the number of books I can take at one time. Before bringing books in, please call ahead to make sure someone is available to look at them. We want to give your books the time and attention they deserve!

Those tiny pockets of calm stayed with me, and over time they grew into something bigger — a vision of creating a place where others could experience that same peace.
